New Releases for February 1, 2005
VARIOUS
ARTISTS - PLATINUM DISCO HOUSE
2004 collection of the best from the
dancefloors of the world.
MINISTRY
OF SOUND - VERY BEST OF FUNKY HOUSE BREAKDOWN
"Funky House Breakdown"
is the next in the superior dance series from the makers of Euphoria.
Lovingly compiled to be just classic dance tracks, and aimed at the more
female side of the dance market, this latest incarnation sees the
introduction of the genre of the moment, Funky House. With the cream of
current tracks from Uniting Nations, Eric Prydz, Stonebridge, Mylo and the
upcoming smash from Axwell mixed with a second CD of classic biggies from
Modjo, Tori Amos, Bucketheads and Black Legend, there are no fillers on this
album, this is a mainstream and very poppy take on Funky House music.
VARIOUS
ARTISTS - ABEL RAMOS & DJ CHUS: 2 DJS 2 SESSIONS: A JOURNEY FROM HOUSE TO
TRANCE!
2CD companion to the first Playstation videogame ("DJ Decks &
FX Live Session") to incorporate real life DJ's on the game's soundtrack.
For this project, Spain's two most respected DJs, Abel Ramos and DJ Chus,
construct a sonic journey through musical styles that these two have aced on
the wheels of steel. These two heavyweights have nailed house and trance
together in these majestic sessions, showcasing their technique and
excellent musical selection.

ARTISTS - HED KANDI: DISCO HEAVEN 01.05
No other label can guarantee
your place in Disco Heaven, but Hed Kandi can! Get your hands in the air &
get ready to receive some of the shiniest dance tunes to have ever graced
your unholy ears! "Disco Heaven 01.05" delivers many exclusive and
hard-to-find examples of the defining Kandi sound; big, funky,
hands-in-the-air anthems with huge, commanding vocals that could polish even
the most tarnished of glitterballs! In short, house music rarely sounds this
good. Tracks come from Kandi's own LnM Projekt and their self-fulfilling
track titled "Everywhere", the Radio 1 A-listed "Take Me Away" from
StoneBridge, while Who Da Funk's "In The Night" and "Fade" by Solu Music
further demonstrate the label's increasing prowess with artist projects.
Other tracks include "Be My Friend" from Scape feat. D'Empress, Solitaire's
glorious version of "You've Got The Love", Inaya Day's "Hold Your Head Up
High" plus the massive Michael Grey number "The Weekend".
